On how live music is one of her greatest sources of inspiration:
“Attending live concerts — classical concerts, jazz concerts, pop concerts — is extremely inspiring. Sitting in Disney Concert Hall, listening to the LA Phil perform Stravinsky, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Mahler….is simply sublime. Attending concerts at the Greek Theatre outdoors in Los Angeles, listening to Bonnie Raitt and Jackson Browne perform, or to be in a jazz club and hear jazz greats make magic, is surreal at times.”
